The ceremony went off without a hitch. We were concerned about the unity candle with the wind outside, but it worked just fine with the hurricane glasses that Wendy had gotten. It wasn’t a really long ceremony, and we didn’t really want it too be too long. Several people remarked that it seemed to be just the right length.
When it came time for kissing the bride I did a little different take on it by picking Wendy up when I kissed her. I think I heard some whoops from my fire buddies on that one 🙂
There were lots of photos after the ceremony. We were supposed to have appetizers for the guests, but Wendy and I never got to see them. After the pictures, we walked down to the Red Barn for the reception.
